Flipping is Hard Online Co-op: What Steam Confirms

Flipping is Hard supports solo play and online co-op. The released game's Steam description says you can struggle together “with up to 16 friends.” It also advertises proximity chat and tools for helping other players.

Online multiplayer, not a browser game

The Steam feature list includes Single-player and Online Co-op. You install the PC game through Steam; an “online” keyword does not mean there is a free web version. Check the download guide for the store link and the platform guide for supported-system evidence.

Player count: read the release description

The main store's wording is “with up to 16 friends.” We preserve that wording rather than infer a precise total lobby count from it. Older demo search snippets advertised a different range. Those snippets describe an earlier demo and should not be used as the released game's player-cap specification.

Before organizing a large group, consult the current store or developer announcements and check the in-game lobby settings. This article did not run a multiplayer session or verify cross-play, local split-screen or shared purchases.

Helping friends and proximity chat

The official description names Beams and Microwaves as ways to help friends. Proximity chat allows nearby players to talk during the climb. The store also discloses in-game chat and online interactivity. These features explain why coordinating a climb can feel different from practicing alone, but they are not a guarantee that every rescue attempt will work.

Solo and a more forgiving climb

Solo play is explicitly supported. Optional Chill Mode enables checkpoints for a more forgiving climb. If you want to learn the basic movement before joining friends, start with the beginner guide. Agree with your group about pace and checkpoint preferences, then check what the current game actually allows in its mode settings.
